Jon Loren Dipert, 79, of Murphy, formerly of Leesburg, Ind., passed away at 2:50 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019, at his daughter’s home in Pierceton, Ind.
He was born Nov. 10, 1940, in Plymouth, Ind., to Raymond and Bessie A. “Arlene” (McKenzie) Dipert.
He graduated from Knox High School in Knox, Ind., and was married Dec. 31, 1960, in Warsaw, Ind., to Gloria Kay Smith who survives.
He was formerly employed at R.R. Donnelley in Warsaw, National Inquirer in Lantana, Fla., and American Color in Riveria Beach, Fla.
He was a member of United Presbyterian Church in Murphy and Palm Beach Pipe and Drums.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Kay Dipert of Murphy; daughter, Nannette (Scott) Swaidner of Pierceton, Ind.; daughter, Nikola Balzer of Pierceton, Ind.; five grandchildren, Mary Bradley, McKenzie Harness, Austin Balzer, Ashley Balzer, and Audrey Balzer; and two great-grandchildren, Abel and Sabin Bradley.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Dipert.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Road 15, Warsaw, Ind.
Services will be planned at a later date.
Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Road 13 and CR 500N, North Webster, Ind., is in charge of arrangements.
Preferred memorials may be given to Murphy Presbyterian Church, 252 Valley River Dr., Murphy NC 28906.
