Johnny Arthur Hembree, 72, of Nelsonville, Ohio, passed away Thursday, Nov. 14, 2019, at his residence in Nelsonville, Ohio.
Johnny was born May 25,1947, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Willard Roland Hembree and Irene
(Phillips).
He was a talented artist, and member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and Murphy Woodcarvers Club.
He retired from Proctor & Gamble, where he worked as an analytical chemist.
Surviving are his wife, Tempe Hembree; children, Stephen (Anna) Hembree of Nelsonville, Ohio, Stuart (Molly) Hembree of Columbus, Ohio, Phillip ( Katie) Hembree of New Lexington, Ohio, Elliot Hembree of Logan, Ohio, and Carley ( Jared) Rocha of Spring, Texas; 17 grandchildren; brother, James (Pam) Hembree of Virgina; sister, Denise (David) Mallonee of Murphy; and his beloved Dottie.
Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; brother David Hembree; and his dog, Doogie.
There will be a celebration of life announced at a later date.
