Jean Swindell, 75, of Murphy, passed away at 8:05 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Valley View Care & Rehab Center in Andrews.
She was a child of God and loved the Lord. She loved to read, sing and spend time with her family. She had a spunky spirit and enjoyed antiques and finding a bargain.
She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Angela Edith Dockery; grandchild, Jordan Dockery; parents, Johnnie and Edith Davis Crowder; sisters, Lorene, Dorothy, Clara and Evelina; and brothers, Harold, Gilbert and Wade Crowder.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, John Swindell; daughters and son-in-law, Sharon Spurgeon, Melody and Michael Starks; son, Chris Dockery; grandchildren, Keri Spurgeon, Samuel and Gabriel Starks, Alicia Ellis, Christopher, Trevor and Donovan Dockery; great-grandchildren, Gavyn Davis, Harper, Emmett and Luther Ellis; twin sister, Evelyn Dockery; and brothers, Dan and Leon Crowder.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at Dockery Family Cemetery in Madisonville, Tenn.
