Jean Morrow Panter, 88, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
Jean was born in Cherokee County to the late James and Minnie Pearl Panter.
She was a homemaker and lived in Cherokee County most of her life. Jean loved to shark fish when she lived in Jacksonville and had won a trophy for the largest shark caught in 1978.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Alfred Morrow Jr.; and her sisters, Mozelle King, Mildred Teague and Ruth Rayfield.
She is survived by her son, Rickie Lee Panter; two granddaughters, Kirsta Lashell Lamb and Nicole Leann Green; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Ralph Barnard officiated. Burial was at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family received friends from noon-1 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
