James Nolan Ivester, 71, of Rabun Gap, Ga., passed away Sunday, Aug. 7, 2022.
James was born in Hickory to the late Nolen Ivester and Mildred Dye Armstrong.
He was a stonemason. James loved motorcycles and fishing.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Ivester; and a sister, Terry D’alessandro.
James is survived by his son, Ben Ivester; his daughter, Jayme Ivester; his sisters, Betty Lisle and Mary Hurley; and two grandchildren, Nolen Ivester and Taylor Ivester.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
A graveside service was held immediately following visitation in Pinelog Cemetery in Brasstown.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
