    Jacob Haynes, 25, of Murphy, passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022.
    Jacob was a selfless man who was always looking for people in the community that he could help.
    He attended First Freewill Baptist Church, and he lived his life to the fullest.
    Jacob was preceded in death by his grandmother, Cynthia Bell.
    He is survived by his father, Chris Haynes, of Murphy, and his mother, Audrey Bell of Brandon, Fla.; his twin sister, Sarah Haynes Orr and husband Zack of Hayesville; his brother, Johnny Haynes of Murphy; his maternal grandfather, John Bell of Brandon, Fla.; paternal grandparents, Jackie and Annette Haynes of Murphy; uncle and aunt, Michael and Taylor Bell of Dallas, Texas; uncle and aunt, Paul and Shelley Haynes of Tampa, Fla.; a very special niece, Kimberly Orr, who saw Jacob as her “best friend” and who Jacob loved as his own; he is also survived by another niece, Rosa Smoker; and other close extended family members.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at Ivie Funeral Home in Murphy. The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, prior to the service.
    Private committal services will be held at Hanging Dog Baptist Church Cemetery following the service.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with final expenses to Ivie Funeral Home.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, is in charge of arrangements.
