    Hubert M. Picklesimer, 84, of Murphy, passed away Friday, March 18, 2022, at his residence.
    Hubert was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. He had worked for General Motors for several years and for Kilgore Oil Company for 27 years. Hubert was also employed with Cherokee County Transit for 10 years.
    He was a member of Ranger Baptist Church.
    Hubert enjoyed working on and building boats, but he especially loved racing boats.
    He was the son of the late Ray Otis and Myrtle Iva Trantham Picklesimer.
    Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Rosemary Burgess Picklesimer; five daughters, Sharon Hibberts of Murphy, Gloria Dockery and husband Tony of Murphy, Tina Edmonds and husband Mark of Beaufort, S.C., Cindy Grimm and husband Doug of Knoxville, Tenn., and Leanne Strano-Cook and husband Clint of Murphy; a son, Rush Strano of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; four sisters, Imogene Stiles of Murphy, Patsy Knott of Cartersville, Ga., Sue Dean and husband Barron of Canton, Ga., and Vonnie Martin and husband Enoch of Murphy; 13 grandchildren, Jennifer Hibberts, Laura Hibberts, Brandon Dockery and wife Katie, T.J. Dockery and wife Amanda, Josh Edmonds and wife Christa, Dustin Edmonds and wife Sarah, Anthony Grimm and wife Jessica, Madison Grimm, Alyssa Grimm, Liam Cook, and Victoria, Avery, and Cory Strano; and eight great-grandchildren, Trey Hibberts, Jack and Hannah Dockery, Eira Belle and Pierce Edmonds, and Hayden, Tanner and Levi Grimm.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 21, in Ranger Baptist Church with the Rev. Aud Brown officiating. The interment was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Brandon Dockery, T.J. Dockery, Trey Hibberts, Anthony Grimm, Bruce Burgess and Eddie Stiles. Honorary pallbearers were Jack Dockery, Hayden, Tanner and Levi Grimm, Darrell Hamby and David Stiles.
    The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, where the body was until placed in the church at the service hour.
