    Hosea Lee Davis, 73, of Marble, passed away Monday, Jan. 17, 2022, at Catawba Valley Medical Center in Hickory.
    Born Jan. 17, 1949, in Magnolia, Miss., he was the son of the late William Alton Davis and Martha Simmons Davis.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Milton Davis; sister, Dorothy Jean Davis Cason; and his maternal grandmother, Carrie Simmons.
    A graduate of South Pike High School in Magnolia, Miss., Mr. Davis was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War.
    He was a member of Countryside Christian Church in Ozark, Mo., and was the owner of Christian Country Cabinets. Along with woodworking, he also enjoyed making jewelry.
    He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Morrellene Lee Davis of the home; a daughter, DeAnna Biache and Stephen Herring of Chattanooga, Tenn.; brother, Hilton Davis and wife Mary Joyce Davis of Baton Rouge, La.,; and numerous nieces and nephews.
    Hosea will be interred at the VA Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tenn., at a later date.
    Bass-Smith Funeral Home in Hickory is serving the Davis family.
