Hollis William Vose Jr., 88, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, Sept. 26, 2019, at his residence.
He was born in Gloversville, N.Y., to the late Hollis Vose Sr. and Nellie Vose.
Hollis retired from the City of Fort Pierce in Florida after 24 years of service.
He enjoyed welding, yard work, camping and traveling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Belinda Vose; his children of Fort Pierce, Fla., Kentucky and Germany; grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews residing in New York.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 7, at Nottley River Valley Vineyards, 1150 Old Culberson Road, Murphy, N.C.
