Hazel Lee Carringer Moss, 96, went to be with her heavenly Lord and Savior on Friday, Feb. 4, 2022.
Hazel was born Aug. 18, 1925, to the late William Raleigh and Margaret Orr Carringer in Martins Creek.
She retired from Clifton Precision but was a homemaker most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, canning, flowers, cooking and feeding her family and everybody else that came to see her. Hazel was very loving and generous and always wanted to do for others.
She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church in Marble.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother and eight sisters; an infant son, Jerry Dale; a son, Larry Junior; a granddaughter, Gena Waters; and a grandson, Sherrill.
She is survived by a daughter, Jinny and husband Larry Welch of Woodstock, Ga.; son, Paul and wife Carolyn of Marble, son, Donnie and wife Trudy of Marble; son, Terry and wife Carol of Marble; eight grandchildren, Artie (Michelle), Sidney (Lisa), Jason (Joanie), Shanda, Donnie Jr., Daniel (Brooke), Phillip (Chelsea), Levi; 16 great-grandchildren, Tomas, Chandler, Ashlynn, Russell, Matthew, Anthony, Travis, Austin, Ryan, Keagan, Blayze, Remi, Hyatt, Huntleigh, Baylor and Rhett; and six great-great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life was held at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Marble with the Revs. Paul Ray Morgan, Randall Moss and Bo Phillips officiating. Interment was in New Martins Creek Cemetery. Grandsons and great-grandsons served as pallbearers.
The family received friends from noon-2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7, at Oak Grove Baptist Church.
