    Harold Richard Fisher, 96, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022.
    Harold was born in Mackeyville, Pa., to the late Roy “Claude” and Nora Gummo Fisher.
    He had moved from Hot Springs, Ark., and lived in Murphy since 1969.
    Harold enjoyed woodworking, camping, was an avid collector of stamps and coins, and loved his family.
    He was a member of Murphy First United Methodist Church.
    Harold graduated from Penn State in 1953 and was a U.S. Forest Ranger for 28 years. He was also a U.S. Navy veteran.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ethel Mae Yearick Fisher; a daughter-in-law, Carole Fisher; and a grandson, Daniel McCullough.
    Harold is survived by his son, Thomas Fisher; his daughters, Brenda Ross (James), Catherine Brown (Terry) and Lori McCullough (Robert); his grandchildren, Kaleb, Elizabeth, Patrick, Andrew, Katharine, Mackenzie and Matthew; and his great-grandchildren, Carolina, Jadah, Hazel and Parker.
    A memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Wil Posey officiated.
    The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, July 24, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
