It is with overwhelming grief we announce the death of Gregory George Garcia. He died Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2019, at age 43.
He resided in Murphy. He was the son of Eileen and the late Richard Drabek, and Greg and Maria Garcia.
Greg was proud to have served in the Air Force. He walked an arduous journey in life that was abundant in faith and gratitude which allowed him to take pleasure in the simplicity of life and endure personal obstacles.
He had a tender heart, great sense of humor and was loved by many, no matter the circumstances. He gifted this world by his distinctive personality and warm smile. His ability to connect with strangers was driven through his empathy and optimism.
Greg was lovingly looked after by many family and friends, along with the heart of the community and strangers who crossed his path. The essence of his personality will bring a smile and laugh your way. It’s just the type of person he was.
He is in the comfort of his Father, the Lord.
He is survived by his mother, Eileen Drabek (Richard); father, Greg Garcia (Maria); wife, Dona; sons Jerron and Brandon; sisters, Tina, Deena (Erik), Elicia; brothers, Raymond (Andria), Steven (Sandy); and many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family; and special friend, Evie.
Services will be planned at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to a foundation of your choice or plant flowers or a tree in his memory.
