    Grace Elaine Skojac, 81, of Murphy, passed away Friday, Oct. 25, 2019, at her residence.
    She was born in Sample, Ky., to the late Alberta and John Corley.
     She was a longtime employee of RCA record company in Indianapolis, Ind., where she worked from 1956-85. Grace relocated and resided in Asheville in 1985 with her family until 1995. In 1995, Grace and her husband, Dan, retired and relocated to Murphy, where they owned and operated Mountain View Marina in Bear Paw until 2000.
    She was an avid reader of God’s word and active member of St. William Catholic Church.
    Grace’s life was marked by sacrifice and giving of herself, her faith and devotion to God, and lovingly serving her family. She will be sorely missed and never forgotten.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Anthony Absher, who died in 1985; and her Aunt Grace, who died in 1991.
    Surviving are her husband of 48 years, Dan Skojac of Murphy; a daughter, Christy Russell and husband Andy; a son, Danny Skojac and wife Stephanie; two stepdaughters, Debbie Skojac-Hagewood and husband Steve, and Joni Williams and husband Steve; a beloved sister, Barbara Corley Burns; 10 grandchildren, Nathan and wife, Katie, Ben and wife Jaclyn, Kayla, Hannah, Madeline, Jesse, Daniel, Ethan, Anthony and Sadie; and two great-grandchildren, Knox and Miles.
    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in St. William Catholic Church with Father Alex Ayala and the Rev. Mr. Carl Hubbell officiating.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in memory of Grace Elaine Skojac to Autism Speaks Foundation, 1 E. 33rd St., 4th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, is in charge of arrangements.
