    Goffery Willis Graves, 93, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday morning, Dec. 7, 2021, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville.
    Mr. Graves was born Oct. 18, 1928, in Murphy to the late Robert Graves and Elvie Killian Graves.
    He was a member and deacon of Boiling Springs Baptist Church.
    He enjoyed working with several animals on his farm, including cows, sheep and goats.  
    He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Graves; mother, Elvie Killian Graves; and wife, Lou Ella Mills Graves.
    Survivors include his daughter, Patricia (Tommy) Melton; son, Steve (Jan) Graves; daughter, Phoebe (Anthony) Dye; grandchildren, Amanda William, Steven Graves (Kelli), Stephanie Simonds, Shanna Fisher, Jesse Graves,  Shawnta Shook, Daniel Dye and Nathan Dye; 21 great-grandchildren; and his loyal companion of 15 years, Mary Freeman.
    Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 10, at the Graves Family Cemetery, with the Rev. Anthony Dye officiating. Interment followed. Pallbearers were Steven Graves, Jesse Graves, Daniel Dye, Nathan Dye, Cody Jones, Anthony Dye and Justin Shook.
    Arrangements were entrusted to the Cochran Funeral Home of Murphy.
