    Glenn Anthony Tatum III passed away peacefully at his home in Andrews on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021.
    He was a native of Fulton County, Ga., but had been living in Andrews for the past three years.  
    Growing up he was an avid long distance cyclist and whitewater kayaker. He was also very active in the Boy Scouts of America and earned his Eagle Scout award in Atlanta, Ga. 
    Glenn graduated from DeKalb Christian Academy in Atlanta, Ga., attended Anderson College in Anderson, S.C., where he played soccer, studied Russian history at Kazakh University in Kazakhstan, USSR, and graduated from the University of Georgia in Athens, Ga.
    He worked at High Country in the Ocoee Gorge, New England Financial Services in Atlanta, as executive director of the Libertarian Party of Georgia, Executive Courier in Atlanta, Harrah’s Valley River Casino, Nantahala Outdoor Center in the Nantahala Gorge, and Industrial Opportunities Inc. in Andrews.
    He was active in the Republican Party in both metro Atlanta and Cherokee County.
    He was the son of Dr. Glenn Tatum of Andrews and the late Ann Levie Tatum.
    Surviving, in addition to his father, are his sister, Elizabeth Tatum of Wilmington, Del.; aunts and uncles, Laurice and Sharon Tatum of Dalton, Ga., and Charles and Ellie Belleville of Portland, Ore.; cousins, Tyler Tatum, Whitney and Kevin Maxwell, Hunter Belleville and Winston Belleville; and several beloved second cousins.
    Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, in Valleytown Cemetery with Pastor Kathy McAbee officiating, and an outdoor visitation will be held at Dr. Tatum’s home after the service.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Andrews, is in charge of all arrangements.
