    Glenn Alan Haigler, 69, of Lawrenceville, Ga., passed away Friday, Dec. 31, 2021.
    Glenn was born April 7, 1952, in Murphy, to the late Walter and Ruby Rosengren Haigler.
    During his younger days in Murphy he was called “Smiley” by his friends, a nickname that stuck
throughout his life by coworkers and friends.
    Glenn enjoyed music, playing his guitar, singing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle. However,
most of all, he loved his little dog “Stax,” his “Best Buddy.” He also was a very talented carpenter.
    Glenn retired in 2017 from The Conlan Company in Marietta, Ga., as a superintendent for large commercial buildings all over the United States.
    Glenn was of the Pentecostal faith. Several years ago, he volunteered for a mission trip to build a school for children in Columbia, South America.
    Glenn served as a veteran of the United States Army during the 1970s.
    Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Nathan Alan Haigler.
    Surviving are a daughter, Stephanie Renee Haigler (Suzanne); grandsons, Conner Haigler, Riley Haigler, and Noah Haigler; stepson, Jonathon Neister, and grandson, Jace Neister; sister, Gail Burrell (David); nephew, Travis Burrell; brother, Dean Haigler (Alva); sister, DiAnne Woods; nephew, Jayson Woods (Jessica); niece, Wendy Woods (Robert); niece, BriAnne Woods (Brian); and uncle, Richard (Willene).
    Memorial services will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery, Murphy, at a later date.
