    Glenn Emory Beavers, 91, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at a Gainesville, Ga., hospital.
    He was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County.
    Glenn was a machine operator with Emerson Electric for many years, retiring in 1993.
    He was a member of Notla Baptist Church.
    He was the son of the late Claude Ralph and Minnie Louise Greene Beavers. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jerrell, Mike and Roger “Doc” Beavers.
    Surviving are three sisters, Veda Kay May and husband Bobby, Pearl Beavers, and Juanita Murphy, all of Murphy; a brother, Lloyd Beavers of Murphy; and several nieces and nephews.
    Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 28, at Notla Baptist Church Cemetery with the Revs. Hoyt Brown and Daniel Young officiating. Pallbearers will be Stacy Beavers, Kevin Roper, Mike Lovingood, Lonnie Murphy and Floyd Hughes.
    Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy, is in charge of all arrangements.
