Giles Kenneth Coffey, 87, of Andrews, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022.
Giles was born in Murphy to the late Paul and Grovie Rowland Coffey.
He was in food service industry serving as an assistant manager at the A&P and had managed several other stores in the area.
Giles was an avid sportsman who had fished and won many bass tournaments and also enjoyed hunting small game. He was a U.S. Army Corporal veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Coffey, and sister, Joanne Coffey Yates.
Giles is survived by his son, Tim Coffey and wife Lori; grandchildren, Dan Coffey and wife Stephanie, and Beth Kinzley and husband Chad; and great-grandchildren Truett, Loc and Clyde Coffey.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. The Rev. Al Hood will officiate. Music will be conducted by Harry and Katie Gilbert. Burial will be in Maltby Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Howard Coffey, Eddie Wood, Keith Wood, Harold Rathbone, John Kilpatrick and James Reid.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17, prior to the service.
