Gary Allison

    Gary Dale Allison, 64, of Marble passed away Tuesday, July 20, 2021 in a Murphy hospital.
    Gary had lived in Murphy for most of his life and had worked for OMC for many years. Gary was of the Baptist faith. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family.
    He was the son of Helen Deitz of Hayesville and the late Frank Allison.
    In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his beloved step-father, Earl Deitz; his son, Nathan Haigler; and two brothers, Steve and Larry Allison.
    Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his loving wife of 36 years, Teresa Allison; three daughters, Stephanie Haigler and spouse, Suzanne, of Kannapolis, Claire Allison, of Marble, and Jody Burrell, of Murphy; two sisters, Vickie Webster and husband, Ronald, of Blairsville, Ga., and Kelly Burch and husband, Brian, of Hayesville; brother, Jimmy Allison and wife, Glenda, of Murphy; three grandsons, Connor, Noah, and Riley; and many nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy with the Rev. Bobby Lovingood officiating.
    A private graveside will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Noah Haigler, Connor Haigler, Riley Haigler, Seth Morgan, Keith Barton and Brian Burch.
    The family will receive friends prior to the services from 12:30-1:45 p.m. on Friday, July 23, 2021 at the Ivie Funeral Home, Murphy.
    In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Industrial Opportunities, Inc., PO Box 1649, Andrews, NC 28901.
