Body

Gail Raper Spurling, 69, of Bremen, Ga., passed away Friday, Dec, 18, 2020.
She was born June 7, 1951, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Horace Coolage Raper and the late Reba Virginia Price Raper.
Gail is survived by her children, Travis Spurling and wife Lorena, Crystal Simpson and husband Chris; grandchildren, Macee Spurling and Tyler, Autumn Spurling and Cody and Chance Spurling; great-grandchildren, Cooper Ivey, Gunner Ivey and Parker Salyers; sisters, Judy McLain and Randy, Diana Pennell and Larry, and Tonya Raper. She was also blessed and cherished many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Jackie King.
Ms. Gail to most people and GiGi to three had a true love for the Lord and it shone through her many years of service in children’s ministry. Whether it be through mission trips to Russia or Israel; children’s church or nursery, her “babies” learned about Jesus.
Ms. Gail was an educator at heart. She enjoyed a long career as para-pro having worked at Fair Oaks Elementary, Kennesaw Elementary and Mount Zion Elementary.
After retiring from public education in 1990, she began a new journey with Bellsouth, later AT&T. After 20 years of service, she retired and joyfully returned to her church babies and her passion of traveling.
