Faye Hogan Brown, 97, of Andrews, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at her residence.
She was a native and lifetime resident of Andrews.
She was a loving mother and homemaker to her many generations of family.
Mrs. Faye enjoyed travelling the country and the world. She was a charter and lifetime member of Valleytown Baptist Church, which she loved.
Mrs. Faye loved working in her garden.
She was the daughter of the late William Fred and Edith Nora Lee Hogan, and wife of the late Jake Raymond Brown, who died July 9, 1997. Mrs. Faye was the last surviving sibling of nine children. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Doug Brown.
Surviving are her two daughters, Carolyn Rogers and husband Jim of Andrews, and Clara Anderson and husband Danny of Andrews; four sons, Larry Brown and wife Retha of Andrews, Gerald Brown and wife Karol of Baldwinville, Mass., Lyle Brown and wife Nancy of Andrews, and Coy Brown and wife Patricia of Waynesville; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Valleytown Baptist Church with the Revs. Marlon Blaylock and Bernie Dixon officiating. Interment will be in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Cook, Mike Allison, Larry Rogers, Gary Wilson, Randal Crabtree and Billy Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family requests that those who attend wear a mask.
The family will receive friends prior to the services from noon-1:45 p.m. Thursday, April 22, at Valleytown Baptist Church.
