Esther Day, 86, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2022.
She was born April 19, 1935, in Cherokee County to the late Claude and Fannie Love Day.
Esther had worked for MGM Brakes in customer service.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by brothers, Ralph Day, David Day, Stokes Day and Melvin Day; and sisters, Mildred Day and Dorothy Harrison.
She is survived by her sister, Ruth Nelson and husband Roald; and several nieces and nephews.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
A graveside service followed after the visitation Saturday, April 2, at Valleytown Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Nuckolls officiating. Pallbearers were Derek Nelson, Corbin Nelson, Scott Day, Rhyan Arrowood and Kolton Arrowood.
