Emogene Trull Phillips Wilkins, 84, of Lexington, N.C., went to be with the Lord Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022.
She was born Nov. 11, 1937, in Clay County to James Jefferson Trull and Bulah Wilson Trull. She grew up in Marble and later moved to Lexington where she made her home.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Louise Pullium and Carolyn Watson; and brother, Jimmy Wilson.
Surviving are her son, Verlon Phillips (Jane) of Andrews; daughter, Kathy Wilson (James) of Lexington; sister, Marilyn Chambers (Rogers) of Marble; brothers, Tom Trull (Helen) of Marble and Gayland Trull of Blue Ridge, Ga.; grandchildren, Michael Phillips (Mandy) and Cassie Hyde (Brandon) of Andrews; and four great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 1, at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church in Andrews. Visitation with family will begin at 2 p.m. and the service will follow at 3 p.m. The Revs. Jack Hollowell and Roy Phillips will officiate.
