Edward “Chuck” Davis, 56, of Lakeland, Fla., passed away Thursday, Dec. 2, 2021.
He was born in Murphy, the third of four children to Ernest Davis and Shirley Bandy Davis.
To those who knew and loved Chuck, his larger-than-life presence and humor brought great joy and would quickly fill the room with warmth.
Chuck was generous beyond measure, and always went the extra mile to help anyone he could. He taught us to always be there for each other, and he left the world a better place.
He was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend, and will leave a vast emptiness in the lives of those who loved him.
Chuck had an accomplished 30-year career with the Rooms To-Go Corporation and was proud to be an Army veteran.
Chuck loved spending time with family above all else and dedicated his life to taking care of his family. He loved to travel and was always looking for the next adventure. He often shared words of encouragement with others to make every day count and live life to the fullest, which he lived by example.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Joanne Bell Davis; daughters, Elisabeth Brown (Jonathan) of Birchwood, Tenn., and Kristen Davis of New York, N.Y.; mother, Shirley Davis of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Sara Chesterfield (Chester), Sandra Garrigues (Wayne), Jennifer Lowers (Brian), all of Lakeland, Fla.; grandchildren, Benjamin, Josiah, Brooklyn, David and Elianna; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ernest Davis.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date in early 2022.
