Edith Elouise Arrowood Stiles, 94, of Murphy, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2020.
Edith was born in Cherokee County to the late John and Della Creasman Arrowood.
Edith was a member of Maltby Baptist Church, where she was the bookkeeper for more than 50 years. She also served as president for the Cherokee County Extension Homemakers group and was bookkeeper for the cattle sales barn.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Julius Stiles.
Edith is survived by her sons, Tommy Stiles and wife Pam and Jeff Stiles and wife Lisa; daughter, Beth Stiles; brother, Howard Arrowood and wife Cheryl; sister, Dean Minor and husband Dave; grandchildren, Ryan Stiles and wife Christin, Brandon Stiles, Brandi Stiles and Casey Henson and husband Kenny; and great-grandchildren, Bria, Brodi, Della, Tripp and Kylar.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Maltby Baptist Church. Pastors Harold Stiles and Kenny White officiated. Pallbearers were Ryan Stiles, Brandon Stiles, Kenny Henson, Mitchell Arrowood, Rick Stiles and Blake Arrowood. Honorary pallbearers were Terry Stiles, Don Stiles and Ronnie Stiles. Burial was in the church cemetery.
The family received friends from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 14, at Maltby Baptist Church.
