Dorothy Koch

    Dorothy Patricia Koch, 70, of Murphy, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021, in Canton, Ga.
    She was born July 21, 1951, in Bayshore, N.Y., to the late Roy and Dorothy Harrison Bloomquist.
    Dorothy was a homemaker. She loved bowling, Hallmark movies and Beach-Ocean (her favorite place).
    Dorothy was of the Episcopalian faith, and loved her family and spending time with them.
    In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Ricky Bloomquist.
    Surviving are her husband, Kenneth R. Koch; a son, Brian Koch and wife Brianna Koch; three daughters, Jennifer Beckley and husband Timothy, Kimberly Marin and husband Cesar, and Heather Klein and husband Kris; a brother, Roy Bloomquist and wife Winnie; two sisters, Lorie Giorgano and husband Jimmy, and Terri Rice and husband Chris; and 14 grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Deacon Turner Guidry officiating.
    The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home prior to the services.
