    Doris Edith Rogers Adams, 87, of Marble, passed away Monday, June 21, 2021.
    She was a lifetime resident of Cherokee County, and was born June 14, 1934, to the late Homer and Lucy Queen Rogers Sr.
    Doris was a homemaker and babysitter. She was a member of the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians and proud of her Cherokee culture. She was also a member of Vengeance Creek Baptist Church.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Margaret Ann Adams; brothers, Kenneth E. Rogers, Glen Rogers, James Rogers, Homer Aster Rogers and William Kyle Rogers; sisters, Leuna Adams and Margie Creasman; and grandson, Bobby Conley.
    Doris is survived by her daughters, Brenda Gail Cook (Joe), Linda Faye Mack (W.G.) and Kathy Adams; sister, Joyce McColley; four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    A funeral service was held at 4 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Randy Johnson officiated. Music was provided by Linda Moss. Burial was in Vengeance Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers were Gary Rogers, Jason Hall, Russell Conley, Jerry Moore, Charles Morgan and Danny Moore.
    The family received friends from 2-4 p.m. Friday, June 25, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
    Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy, was in charge of all arrangements.
