    Donald Arthur Cooper, 58, of Kent Street, Andrews, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, in Murphy Medical Center following an extended illness.
    Mr. Cooper was born July 25, 1963, in Detroit, Mich., the son of Thomas Cooper and the late Margaret Lankin Cooper.
    He loved fishing, model car racing and loved going to his church, but most of all he loved the Lord.
    He was a loving father, son, brother and grandfather.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Louise Cooper in 2021; and  his daughter, Lori Harrison, in 2005.
    Mr. Cooper was a member of Valley River Baptist Church.
    Surviving Mr. Cooper are his children, Shannon Cooper, Tyler Cooper, Jessica Harrison, all of Franklin,  and Angie Teague of Michigan; his father, Thomas Cooper of Sterling Heights, Mich.; his second dad, Tommy Shaver of Andrews; two brothers, Glenn Cooper and David Cooper, both of Michigan; his grandchildren, Brianna and Donald Cooper, Nevaeh and Kaylee Kennedy, Jamie and Mary Jane Harrison; and several nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
   A memorial service was  held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, from Valley River Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Phillips officiating. A eulogy was given by Tommy Shaver. Special music was presented by Bill Buchanan and Ron Phillips.
    Flowers were accepted or, if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to Valley River Baptist Church in Donald’s memory.
    The family met with friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 12, at the church prior to the services.
    Interment followed in the church cemetery where he will rest next to his beloved wife, Angela.
    Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville, Ga., was in charge of arrangements.
