Dennis F. “Denny B” Blakely, 69, of Brasstown, passed away Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence.
He was a career salesperson in Tampa, Fla., and he was also employed at Lowe’s in Murphy.
Dennis was very outgoing and never met a stranger.
He was the son of the late Frederick and Alice Blakely, and was also preceded in death by a brother, Larry Blakely.
Surviving are his wife of 30 years, Mary Jo Blakely; a daughter, Allison Blakely of Tampa, Fla.; three sons, Aaron Blakely of Bryson City, Marc A. Blakely and wife Tati of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., and Bryan D. Blakely of Las Vegas, Nev.; a sister, Nancy Blakely Hutchins of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Stephen Blakely and wife Carmen of Lutz, Fla., and Timothy Blakely and wife Esther of Waynesville; and two grandchildren, Casey Roberts of Milledgeville, Ga., and Sasha Blakely of Jacksonville Beach, Fla.
A memorial service will be held in Tampa, Fla., at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Friday, April 15, at the residence.
