    David Granville Rife, 77, of Marble, beloved son, husband, daddy, grandpa, brother and uncle went peacefully into the arms of his heavenly Father on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020.
    David was a U.S. Air Force veteran. He leaves behind heartbroken family and friends from Pennsylvania, Virginia, South Carolina and North Carolina.
    He was the son of the late Joseph Rife and Elizabeth Day Rife. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph David Rife; two brothers, Earnest Rife and Joe Rife Jr.; and one sister, Bernice Rife Ledbetter.
     David is survived by his loving wife, Rita Rogers Rife; his children, Vickey Rife Pritchett (Tony), Karen Rife and Janet Rife, Anthony Queen (Christie), Jennie Cook (Roy Jr.); brothers, Tony Rife (Dora), Magnius Rife, Miles Rife (Kathy) and Lonnie Rife (Shirley); sisters, Ellie Cooper, Anita Rife, Doris Russio (Ale) and Dinaha Rife; grandchildren, Ashley Martinez, Johnny Lane, Michael Rife, Dana Rife Edmonson, Austin Springs, Raven Rife-McGill, Stephen Richardson, Rylee Cook, Kitana Queen, Anna Queen, Aaron Queen and A.J. Queen; seven great-granddaughters who are survived by their grandmother and great-grandmother, Beulah Mae Rife of South Carolina; and many nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Josh Deal will officiate.
    The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1  p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
