    Charles David Holbrooks, 72, of Ringgold, Ga., passed away Sunday, Sept. 18, 2022.
    He was born June 17, 1950, in Ducktown, Tenn.
    Mr. Holbrooks served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War earning the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Bronze Stars and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
    He enjoyed fishing and loved playing his guitars and adding to his guitar collection.
    He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ann Blevins Holbrooks; father, Charles Junior Holbrooks; daughter, Vanessa Jenkins; and sister, Marilyn “Mickey” LeFeavers.
    Survivors include his mother, Mozelle Forrester; son, Jimmy Carl (Danielle) Hutcheson; daughters, Renae (Jeff) Keef and Cathy (Darrell) Fincher; sisters, Patsy Deaver and Janet (Rex) Taylor, both of Murphy; grandchildren, Grant Cartwright, Matthew (Brittany) Cartwright, Jennifer (Jason) Hutcheson Wallace, Alicia Abston, Leslie (Derrick) Keef McGowan, Kelli (Jeremy) Keef French, Alex Fincher, Cameron Fincher, Jeremy (Tyaa) Jenkins, Lindsey (Ben) Jenkins White; 22 great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces that loved him.
    Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. The Rev. Darrell Fincher officiated. Interment followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.
    The family received friends from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, at Heritage Funeral Home & Crematory, Battlefield Parkway.
