Dale Farner

    Dale Farner, 89, of Murphy, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Nov. 28, 2021.
    He was the son of the late E.C. and Wilda Davis Farner.
    He was a member of Canyon Road Baptist Church and a U.S. Army veteran.
    He was also preceded in death by his wife, Francis Farner; brothers, L.T. Farner and Fess Farner; sisters, Jean Lovingood, Barbara Hughes and Louise Stalcup.
    Surviving are daughters, Janice Green and husband Bill of Murphy, and Debbie Stewart of Blairsville, Ga.; a son, Jerry Farner and wife Kim of Blairsville, Ga.; five grandchildren, Brandi Green, Holly Owenby, Laura Ors, Jessica Synder and Jake Farner; a great-grandchild, Olivia Owenby; and sisters, Delois Pace and Judy Hall.
    Graveside services were held at noon on Tuesday, Nov. 30, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Jerry Helton officiating.
