    Claudia Cynthia Haskins Toth, 84, of Murphy, passed away Sunday, Jan. 23, 2022.
    She was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Miami, Fla., to the late Louis and Cynthia Haskins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Calvin Toth, and a sister, Phyllis Grice.
    Claudia moved to Murphy in 1984. In the early 1990s, she owned Claudia’s Fabrics of Downtown Murphy. She was a Weight Watchers’ counselor in the early 2000s. She enjoyed gardening and sewing.
    Claudia was a member of St. William Catholic Church, where she loved teaching Sunday school, serving as choir director, and playing the piano or organ.
    She is survived by a son, Michael Toth of London, England; daughter, Tammy (Jan) of Murphy; grandchildren, Aiden McCoy Williams (Tristan), Gabriel Calvin McCoy and Hope Nakole McCoy; and great-grandchildren, Lochlan Joseph Williams and Beckett Calvin Williams.
    Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 28, at Townson-Rose Chapel in Murphy. The Rev. Mr. Carl Hubbell officiated. Burial was at Greenlawn Cemetery in Murphy.
    Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
