    Clara Ruth Fullbright Keenum passed away on Friday, Jan. 28, 2022, at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.
    She is survived by two daughters, Lisa Kay Keenum of Murphy and Joyce Keenum Townson (Eric) of Winston-Salem; one son, Kenneth “Gene” Keenum Jr. of Murphy; and one granddaughter, Lianne Jackson McCray (Rase) of High Point. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
    She was born Oct. 29, 1936, in Jackson County to the late Bessie King Fullbright and Charles Howard Fullbright. She was predeceased by brothers Charles Dexter Fullbright and Roy Lee “Bud” Fullbright.
    Clara attended Webster High School and graduated from Waynesville High School in Waynesville. She worked for the Rural Electric Authority until her marriage in 1959 to Kenneth Gene Keenum Sr., who predeceased her in 2011. Kenneth and Clara lived most of their married life in Murphy and Cary.
    The family is very grateful for the loving care she received in her later years from the staff of Brighton Gardens of Winston-Salem, and also from their onsite Legacy Therapy Services team.
    A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
