Charlotte Chastain Webb, 81, of Murphy, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2021.
She was born July 2, 1940, in Murphy to the late Marty and Ethel Chastain. She was the youngest of six children, and was preceded in death by three brothers, Clinton, Eddie and Dillon; one sister, Irene Buchanan; her husband, George Webb; and her middle child, Charlene Rondan-Fernandez.
She enjoyed eating out at her favorite local restaurants, going to local auctions, yards sales, thrift stores, and driving around to see fall colors and Christmas lights. She also enjoyed embroidering various items, such as pillowcases, to give away as gifts.
She is survived by one sister, Judy Williams; two sisters-in-law, Mary Chastain and Bulah Chastain; one daughter, Mary Paul along with her husband, Sandy Paul; and one son, Darrell Saucedo along with his wife, Kirsten Saucedo. She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be planned for the end of May or early June 2022. More details will be announced in the Cherokee Scout once the details are confirmed.
