    Charles Lee Kisselburg Sr., 82, of Hillside Road in Brunswick, Maine, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at the home of his daughter.
    He was born March 21, 1937, in Culberson, a son of Luther Ralph Sr. and Bertha Newton Kisselburg. He attended schools in North Carolina and Franklin, Ky.
    He proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed in Labrador, Newfoundland, as a power plant operator. He took advantage of every course and class offered to him to further increase his knowledge.
    Mr. Kisselburg worked at the Rosman Satellite Tracking Station in Rosman, the Alaska Pipeline, and enjoyed a career as an industrial mechanic.
    In 1987, he received the Governor’s Award of Excellence for his contribution in waste management for Schwitzer Corporation in Asheville.
    He loved to fish, and some of his fondest memories were of spending time in the outdoors with his Daddy.
    He was predeceased by his parents; a son, Daniel Tremblay of Maine; three brothers, Luther Ralph Jr. of Candler, Doyle Pierce of Poland, Ohio, and James Arless of Old Fort.
    He is survived by a son, Charles Lee Kisselburg II and his wife Sandi of Spindale; and two daughters, Donna M. Morin and her husband, Philip, of Brunswick, Maine, and Diane Kisselburg of Asheville. He is also survived by four sisters, Doris Stringer, Betty Hamby, Alice Estep and Katherine Forrister and her husband, Charles, all of Murphy; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    A Celebration of Life was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, from Friendship Baptist Church in Murphy.
