Martha Caroline Hendrix (Carol) passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2021.
Carol was born Jan. 2, 1970, in Barrow, Alaska.
She moved to Murphy as a child and remained a resident. She was a graduate of Murphy High School and a member of Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
Carol loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hiking and camping. She cared for nature and had a soft spot for stray animals. Carol was loving, compassionate and made friends easily.
Carol was the daughter of Wanda Hendrix Ballew and the late Charles Franklin Hendrix.
Surviving Carol is her mother, Wanda; daughter, Summer Campbell; son, Nathaniel Welch; son, Robert Campbell and significant other Miranda White; grandson, Asher Campbell; sister, Sara Hendrix Nantz and husband Eric; sister
Donna Hendrix Strubbe and husband Todd; brother, G.W. Hendrix and significant other Donna Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
A private memorial service was held for family and close friends on Dec. 23, 2021.
