Bobby Joe Shields

    Bobby Joe Shields, 81, of Mineral Bluff, Ga., passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022, at his home.
    Mr. Shields was born March 22, 1940, in Culberson to the late Dennis M. Shields and Beulah Stiles Shields.
    Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Faust Shields; sons, Bobby Joe (Tammy) Shields Jr., and Scott (Tonya) Shields; stepsons, Travis (Marie) Mileti, and Brian Mileti; step-daughter, Tami (Brian) Rayburn; brother, Gene (Glenda) Shields; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Ware officiating. Interment followed in New Liberty Cemetery in Mineral Bluff, Ga. Pallbearers were grandchildren.  
    The family received friends from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Ga.
    In lieu of flowers please direct donations in Mr. Shield’s name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
