    Betty Kate Dockery Beaver Payne, 84, of Turtletown, Tenn., passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022.
    Betty was born in Blount County, Tenn., to the late James and Mae Coleman Dockery.
    She was an inspector for the Lee Company. Betty loved to be happy and loved working with kids. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Turtletown Baptist.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband,
Homer Beaver; her second husband, Earl Payne; a daughter, Kathy Jean Bittner; and sister, Linda Gail Bright.
    She is survived by her husband, Buck Scarborough; her daughters, Pamela Beaver, Patricia Beaver and Karen Jane Hunt (Michael); a brother, Kenneth Dockery (Mary Jo); four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery.
    The family received friends from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
