Betty Palmer
Betty Barton Palmer, 88, of Andrews, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021, at Murphy Rehab and Nursing Home in Murphy.
She was a native and lifetime resident of Cherokee County. Betty had worked for Walmart.
She was of the Baptist faith, and a member of Marble Springs Baptist Church.
She was the daughter of the late Cecil and Indy Birchfield Barton, and wife of the late William M. Palmer. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Glenda Farley, wife of Gene Farley; a brother, Devereaux Barton; and two sisters, Janice Lovin and Barbara Forsythe.
Surviving are a son, Grayson Palmer and wife Lara; three daughters, Genie Morgan and husband Gary, Ann Brooks and husband David, and Sara Thompson and husband Scott; two brothers, Bruce Barton and Joe Barton; and a sister, Cecile Barton Palmer; eight grandchildren, Cole Morgan, Bryce Sherrill, Adam Brooks, Chad Brooks, Landon Farley, Chris Bush, Lorelei Palmer and Elena Palmer; and six great-grandchildren, Lexi Leonard, Peyton Brooks, Madilyn Brooks, Micah Bush, Kellen Farley and Ella Farley.
Graveside services were held at 11:15 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at the Parker Family Cemetery with the Rev. Zack Orton officiating. Pallbearers were Adam and Chad Brooks, Jordan Raxter, Landon Farley, Matthew Wood and Keith Lovin.
The family received friends from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Andrews.
Townson-Rose Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
