    Betty Jean Salisbury Lee, 81, of Murphy, passed away Thursday, Sept. 23, 2021.
    She was born in Sutton, W.Va., to the late William “Owen” and Orvie Davis Salisbury.
    Betty was a homemaker, loved gardening flowers, enjoyed going for rides, and watching and taking care of her birds. She loved church and was a member of Culberson Baptist Church.
    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 13 brothers; one sister; and a grandchild, Tommy Shuttleworth.
    She is survived by her husband, Arthur Lee; daughters, Patti Shuttleworth (Mark) and Marcia Koval (John); a son, Robert A. Lee (Karen); grandchildren, Jacki, Joshua, Lisa and Scott; eight great-grandchildren; and two new great-great grandchildren.
    A funeral service was held at 2 pm Monday, Sept. 27, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy. The Rev. Keith Mashburn officiated. Burial was in Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Ga.
