Betty “Sharon” Burdette, 59, of Murphy, passed away peacefully Monday, March 28, 2022, in Mission Hospital, Asheville, following an extended illness.
Miss Burdette was born Sept. 6, 1963, in Hiawassee, Ga., the daughter of Otis Burdette.
Sharon loved building things, and going to flea markets. Her dad was her idol and taught her how to build things. She is now in Heaven with her dad, and they are in a workshop for God. Sharon was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Miss Burdette are her loving companion, Wayne Rex Gruber of Murphy; one daughter and son-in-law, Kataceya and Jason LaManna of Auburndale, Fla.; one son, Mike Taylor of Wauchula, Fla.; two grandchildren, Brystal Williams and Zane LaManna; and many other relatives and friends.
No services are planned at this time. Interment will follow at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to your favorite Humane Society in Sharon’s memory.
