Betty “Bernice” Sue Green Beavers, 83, of Morganton, N.C., formerly Murphy, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2020.
She was born the daughter of the late Elbert Green and Dossie Robinson Green on Christmas Day 1936 in Murphy.
Bernice was a loving, caring and creative person who enjoyed helping others.
She was a longtime member of Ivy Log Baptist Church in Blairsville, Ga.
Bernice was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be greatly missed.
Along with her parents, Bernice was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Beavers; a brother, Charles Earl Green; and two sisters, Barbara Green and Joyce Jones.
Those left behind to cherish Bernice’s memory include her daughter, Melissa Ledbetter and husband Michael of Morganton; a grandson, Clark Paige of Hickory; and two sisters, Brenda Kincaid and Sandra Ware, both of Murphy. Also surviving are numerous other relatives and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept.18, at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Murphy. If attending, please wear a face mask and remember to social distance.
