Avery Justin Kilpatrick, 39, of Andrews, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2022.
Avery was born in Murphy to Winnie Gibby Kilpatrick and the late Elick Kilpatrick.
He was a lineman for MasTec Power.
Avery loved fishing and nature. He was a graduate of Nantahala High School and also attended Wahoo Baptist Church in Murrayville, Ga.
Avery is survived by his brothers, Eric Kilpatrick and wife Mallisa, and Andy Kilpatrick; his sisters, Margaret Coffey and husband Johnny, and Shirley Cutshaw and husband Lennie; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service was held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, at Townson-Rose Chapel of Andrews. Preachers Mark Stroud, John Dowdy and Coby Gilliand officiated. Burial was in Little Choga Cemetery in Nantahala. Pallbearers were Erick Kilpatrick, Ethan Kilpatrick, David Smith, Scott Morgan, Casey Collins and Kevin Baldwin.
The family received friends from 2-3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 2, prior to the funeral service.
