    Anthony “Tony” Russell Cook, 45, of Brasstown, passed away Saturday, July 10, 2021.
    Tony was born Nov. 14, 1975, in Towns County, Ga., to Francis and Hazel Taylor Cook of Brasstown.
    He previously enjoyed working as a real estate agent and currently was managing the lumber yard for his parents at Murphy Building Supply.
    Tony was an avid reader and known for his big heart and unique gift giving ability. He was a loving son, trustworthy brother and the absolute best uncle.
    Tony graduated from Murphy High School and attended N.C. State University. He was a member of New Martins Creek Baptist Church.
    In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Michael Cook and wife Jimmie; Jeff Cook and wife Dedra; one sister, Beverly Cook and husband Joe Anderson; seven nieces and nephews; nine great-nieces and nephews; and best friend, Steve Plummer.
    Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. The Revs. Aud Brown and Larry Williams, and Dr. Chester Jones will officiate. Music will be provided by Matt Cook and Maria Campbell. Burial will be in New Martins Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Mike Cook, Jeff Cook, Matt Cook, Adam Cook, Kevin Cook, Brad Foxworth, Alex Haines and Joe Anderson. Honorary pallbearer will be Steve Plummer.
    The family will receive friends from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
