Victim in Bellview fire identified

    Bellview – An unrelated fire on Lance Road on Aug. 25 claimed the life of Peggy Walker Roberson, 68, according to the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office.

    Multiple fire departments responded to a house fire at 169 Lance Road that evening.

    Roberson was found inside the building and did not survive. The house belongs to Johnny Roberson, according to Cherokee County tax records.
