Anngee Quinones-Belian/Staff Correspondent  Emergency personnel were called to U.S. 64 West and Caney Creek Road in Ranger for a single-vehicle accident about 9:12 a.m. Sunday. A white pickup was found to be over the guard rail of the eastbound lane after having flipped over, and the driver was taken to the hospital. Traffic was reduced to one lane, with a second lane of traffic being stopped briefly as a tow truck worked to position the retrieved vehicle for transport. Debris was scattered alongside the roadway, as well as over the guard rail and into the ravine below. The Ranger Fire Department and N.C. Highway Patrol worked the scene.
