Murphy – The Rotary Club of Murphy will present a special event addressing the critical issue of homelessness through an inspiring success story. Daniel Warrior, a Native American actor, artist and motivational speaker, will share his journey “From Homeless to Hollywood” at the club’s regular meeting from noon-1 p.m. Monday at The Ballroom, 51 Hiwassee St. in downtown across from Downtown Pizza.

The event will be open to Rotary members and the general public.

Warrior, a Cherokee resident and rising star in the film industry, will offer a powerful firsthand account of overcoming homelessness to achieve success in Hollywood. His credits include roles in acclaimed productions such as Killers of the Flower Moon, Yellowstone and Tulsa King.

The presentation, “Homeless to Hollywood,” provides a unique opportunity to gain insights into the challenges faced by those experiencing homelessness and the potential for positive change. Attendees will hear about the profound experiences that helped Warrior find the strength to transform his life, offering hope and inspiration to all.

“We’re excited to welcome Dan Warrior to our club and to share his inspiring message with our community,” said Jacqueline Egli, president of the Rotary Club of Murphy. “His story not only sheds light on the pressing issue of homelessness but also demonstrates the power of resilience and community support. This aligns perfectly with Rotary’s ‘Service Above Self’ mission and our ongoing local and international initiatives.”

The Rotary Club of Murphy encourages all community members to attend this special lunchtime event.

Warrior’s message of empowerment and personal growth resonates universally, offering valuable perspectives on overcoming adversity and the importance of helping others.
