Peachtree – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cherokee County held its annual Gala on Sept. 30 at McGuire’s Millrace Farm with the theme, “The Roaring ’20s.”
Officials said the costumes were spectacular, and fun was had by all. Bingo was played, with prizes given away. A live auctioneer helped raise money to help support students in Cherokee County Schools.
Officials want to thank McGuire’s Millrace Farm for hosting the event as well as all of the monetary sponsors and businesses who donated auction items. They also want to thank everyone who attended and participated and purchased auction items.
“We can’t say enough about our Advisory Council members and AmeriCorps, which helped, and our program coordinators who keep us going,” Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cherokee County senior program coordinator Gloria Dockery said in a release.
The program is still in need of local adult bigs and other volunteers.
