  • Glitz & Glamour hosted a Fairy Hair event on Oct. 14. Shannon-Heather Wall with Mountain Fairy Hair was putting brightly colored, shimmery strands of tinsel in to the hair of Jody Dean Quillian. Wall was donating 50 percent of the day’s proceeds to help Reach of Cherokee & Graham Counties, as October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

    October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month across the United States, and Reach of Cherokee & Graham Counties is finishing the month with a flurry of Halloween-related events.

    Reach will be at:

    • Shop with a Cop during Trick or Treating from 1-5 p.m. Friday at the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office’s firing range in Marble.
    • The Andrews Chamber of Commerce’s annual Trunk or Treat event from 3-5 p.m. Saturday downtown.
    • The Murphy Halloween event from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday downtown.
